Air Fryer Egg and Cheese Toast

A quick and delicious breakfast of crispy toast topped with a perfectly cooked egg and melted cheese, ready in just minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice of bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: avocado, spinach, or any other favorites

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lay one slice of bread flat in the air fryer basket.
  3. Crack the egg directly onto the center of the bread and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Drape the slice of cheese over the egg.
  5. Cook in the air fryer for 5–6 minutes, checking at 4 minutes for a runny yolk.
  6. Carefully remove with a spatula, add any optional toppings, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use sturdier bread (sourdough, country loaf, or an English muffin) for extra crunch. For a lower-fat option, use reduced-fat cheese or a thin slice of smoked turkey instead.
