Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and the baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the room temperature butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and the eggs until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Using a spoon, drop generous spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother dough. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to enhance flavor and texture.
