Classic Banana Bread

A comforting, moist banana bread perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional: nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add melted butter to the mashed bananas and mix well.
  4. Stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
  8. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for about 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in spices like cinnamon or nutmeg or using creative add-ins like peanut butter or Nutella.
