Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies with White Chocolate

These chewy maple cinnamon cookies are sweet, cozy treats perfect for any occasion, enhanced with the rich flavor of white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers
  • Holly berry sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cookie dough by mixing flour, baking soda, and salt in one bowl and creaming the butter and brown sugar in another.
  2. Incorporate egg, maple syrup, and cinnamon into the butter mixture, then gradually add dry ingredients.
  3. Refrigerate the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat your oven and portion out the dough into 1.5 oz balls on light-colored baking sheets.
  5. Bake until slightly golden around the edges and soft in the center; cool on a wire rack.
  6. Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl at half power.
  7. Dip half of each cookie into the melted chocolate and place on wax paper to set.
  8. Drizzle additional melted chocolate on top and sprinkle with holly berry decorations.

Notes

Chilling the dough helps develop flavor and prevents spreading; fresh spices elevate the taste significantly.
