Chicken with Buttered Noodles

A comforting and quick meal of tender chicken served over buttery egg noodles, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles until tender, drain, and set aside.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the remaining butter until melted.
  5. Toss the cooked noodles into the skillet, mixing until well coated in the sauce.
  6. Slice the cooked chicken and place on top of the noodles. Garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

For added nutrition and flavor, consider swapping in whole wheat noodles or adding vegetables like peas or carrots.
