Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and gooey centers, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown while the centers remain soft.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Optionally, sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before baking for added flavor.
