An addictive blend of Saltine crackers, buttery toffee, and smooth chocolate, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Saltine crackers
  • Butter
  • Brown sugar
  • Chocolate chips
  • Nuts (optional)
  • Candy canes (optional)
  • Sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together, stirring constantly until it reaches a boil.
  4. Pour the buttery mixture evenly over the crackers, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let them melt for a few minutes, then spread into an even layer.
  7. Top with nuts, crushed candy canes, or a sprinkle of sea salt if desired.
  8. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces.
