Christmas Cranberry Meatballs

Delightful meatballs simmered in a sweet and tangy cranberry sauce, perfect for festive gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix well and form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in size.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out. Bake for 20 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  5. In a saucepan, combine cranberry sauce, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Heat over medium until warmed through and well combined.
  6. Toss the cooked meatballs into the cranberry sauce, ensuring they are coated evenly, and serve warm.
