Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip

A simple, crowd-pleasing creamy dip topped with warm caramel, toffee bits, and nuts, perfect for apples and gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese block, softened to room temperature
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2/3 cup caramel dip (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tbsp toffee bits
  • 1 tbsp peanuts, chopped
  • 1 tbsp walnuts, chopped
  • Apples, sliced for dipping (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji work well)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a mixing bowl. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  2. Use a hand mixer (or stand mixer) on medium speed to beat until smooth and creamy. Scrape the sides once so everything is evenly combined.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture into the bottom of a shallow serving dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  4. Heat the caramel dip in the microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until it reaches a pourable consistency but is not too hot.
  5. Pour the warmed caramel over the cream cheese layer and use an offset spatula or the back of a spoon to spread it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the toffee bits, chopped peanuts, and chopped walnuts across the top. Press them in lightly so they stick to the caramel.
  7. Serve immediately with apple slices for dipping, or chill 15–30 minutes for a slightly firmer texture.

Notes

Swap pistachios or pecans for the nuts if you prefer. For a dairy-free option, use vegan cream cheese and a dairy-free caramel alternative. For a lower-sugar version, use a sugar substitute designed for baking in place of powdered sugar.
