Creamy Dill Chicken

A comforting dish of tender chicken in a rich, creamy dill sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or impressing guests.

Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breast
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Cook the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and fresh dill until well combined.
  6. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  7. Serve hot alongside rice or mashed potatoes, with steamed greens or carrots.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate chicken in lemon juice, garlic, and olive oil for up to an hour before cooking. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or spinach before serving.
