Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Breast

This creamy garlic Parmesan chicken breast features juicy chicken with a rich garlic Parmesan sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or pound them to an even thickness for quicker cooking. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and lower the heat. Add butter and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant—about 1 minute.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir, scraping up any flavorful bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and let it simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, gently simmering for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the chicken to heat through and get coated in the sauce.

Notes

Make sure not to overcrowd the pan when searing the chicken for even cooking and a nice crust. Fresh garlic gives the best flavor, but garlic powder can substitute in a pinch.
