Skillet Chicken Thighs in a Dreamy Creamy Garlic Sauce

Succulent chicken thighs in a rich, creamy garlic sauce that elevates any meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Parsley, fresh, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Low sodium Chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. First, season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure to coat them evenly for the best flavor.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. This combination creates a wonderful base for cooking the chicken.
  3. Next, add the seasoned chicken thighs to the skillet, skin-side down. Cook until they’re beautifully browned and crispy, which should take about 6-7 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the chicken thighs to cook the other side and add the minced garlic. Allow it to cook for another 2 minutes, letting the garlic infuse the oil.
  5. Pour in the low sodium chicken broth and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. This step helps to deglaze the pan and adds flavor.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, mixing thoroughly until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Toss in fresh parsley for a burst of color and flavor. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
  8. Serve hot, drizzling that luscious creamy garlic sauce generously over the chicken.

Notes

For the best results, choose bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs for more flavor and moisture. Consider adding lemon juice for extra brightness.
