Creamy Oven Baked Chicken Thighs

Juicy chicken thighs enveloped in a rich, creamy garlic sauce, perfect for an impressive meal or a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs (bone-in, skin-on)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the chicken thighs skin-side down, searing them for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Once browned, remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream, add the Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, and stir until well combined.
  8. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them.
  9. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  10. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter sauce, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or coconut milk. Experiment with spices for different flavor profiles.
