Creamy Paprika Chicken with Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  4. Season the chicken drumsticks generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Add them to the skillet and brown on all sides.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to create a luscious sauce.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. Prepare the rice according to package instructions while the chicken cooks.
  8. Serve the chicken over the rice, drizzling the creamy sauce on top, and garnish with fresh parsley.
