Crispy Roasted Chickpeas

A crunchy and flavorful snack made from roasted chickpeas, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas (or 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Drain well.
  3. Lay the drained chickpeas on a clean kitchen towel or paper towels. Pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
  4. Combine the chickpeas with olive oil in a mixing bowl. Toss to coat.
  5. Sprinkle the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the chickpeas. Toss again until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Roast in the oven for about 25-30 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, shaking them halfway through.
  8. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before enjoying.

Notes

For optimal crunch, ensure the chickpeas are thoroughly dried. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
