Crock Pot Angel Chicken

A comforting and creamy chicken dish cooked in a crock pot, perfect for busy weeknights with minimal effort.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. Sprinkle the minced garlic, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning evenly over the chicken.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the soy sauce and cream of chicken soup until smooth. Pour this mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover the crock pot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked through and tender, use two forks to shred the chicken before serving it over rice or pasta.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in the soy sauce mixture beforehand. Ensure chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
