Crockpot French Onion Meatballs

Hearty meatballs infused with the classic flavors of French onion soup, simmered to perfection in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups French onion soup
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-2 inches in diameter, and place them in your Crockpot in a single layer.
  3. Pour the French onion soup evenly over the meatballs, ensuring they’re well-covered.
  4. Cover the Crockpot and set it to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 3-4 hours.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs. Cover and let the cheese melt.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy your hearty meal!

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for the beef, and you can use gluten-free breadcrumbs if dietary needs require it.
