Two-Ingredient Cottage Cheese Bread

A quick and easy bread made with self-rising flour and cottage cheese, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • Optional: a pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon melted butter (for brushing the top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the self-rising flour and cottage cheese. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Shape it gently or press it into the loaf pan, scoring the top if desired.
  4. Bake for 30–40 minutes on a baking sheet or 35–45 minutes in a loaf pan until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a buttery finish, brush the top with melted butter right after baking. If using regular flour, combine with baking powder and salt to make self-rising flour.
