Easy Cream Cheese Chicken

A delightful one-pan meal featuring tender chicken in a creamy sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well blended.
  3. Pour the creamy mixture over the browned chicken in the skillet.
  4. Lower the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt completely into the sauce.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

For a juicier option, substitute chicken breasts with chicken thighs or use low-fat cream cheese to reduce calories without sacrificing flavor.
