Easy French Toast

A quick and delightful French toast recipe perfect for any occasion, featuring a crispy exterior and soft, custard-like interior.

Ingredients

  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1/2 tsp ground Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp pure Vanilla extract
  • 6 thick slices Brioche
  • 2 tbsp unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup Whole milk
  • Maple syrup (for serving)
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)
  • Fresh berries (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, cinnamon, sugar, salt, vanilla, heavy cream, and milk until combined and smooth.
  2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter to coat the surface.
  3. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, soaking briefly on each side.
  4. Place the soaked bread on the skillet and cook until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup, powdered sugar, and fresh berries.

Notes

Feel free to switch up the bread for challah or sourdough. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month.
