Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 2 cups chopped broccoli
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic (grated or minced)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger (grated)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger until well combined. Set this flavorful blend aside.
  2. Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the minced onion to the pot and sauté for about 1 minute until it becomes fragrant.
  3. Add the ground chicken to the skillet, using a spatula to break it apart. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Toss the chopped broccoli, paprika, salt, and pepper into the skillet, stirring well to ensure everything mixes beautifully.
  5. Pour the prepared firecracker sauce over the chicken and broccoli mixture. Stir well to coat all the ingredients.
  6. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the broccoli reaches your desired level of tenderness.
  7. Garnish the stir-fry with sliced green onions and sesame seeds to add a pleasing crunch and enhance flavor.
  8. Serve the firecracker ground chicken over steamed rice, noodles, or wrapped in lettuce for a refreshing twist.

Notes
