A lively take on traditional tacos, bursting with bold flavors from succulent shrimp, crunchy slaw, and creamy avocado sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • Salt, to taste
  • Tortillas, for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp: Season the shrimp with chili powder, cumin, lime juice, and let them rest for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Prepare the slaw: Shred the cabbage and toss it in a bowl with salt and lime juice.
  3. Make the avocado crema: Blend the avocado with yogurt, lime juice, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side.
  5. Assemble your tacos: Place cooked shrimp on warm tortillas, top with cabbage slaw, and dollop avocado crema on top.
