Garlic Butter Baked Chicken

A cozy and garlicky baked chicken dish that’s quick to prepare and perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter with the minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish in a single layer. Pour the garlic-butter mixture evenly over the breasts so each piece is coated.
  4. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the thickest part of the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes to redistribute the juices. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

If your chicken breasts are thick, halve or pound them to even thickness. Use room-temperature butter for easier mixing.
