Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks

These Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteaks are a quick and delicious take on the classic sandwich, with ground beef, sautéed vegetables, and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices of cheese (provolone or cheese of your choice)
  • Oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing until softened.
  3. Toss in the ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Lower the heat and place cheese slices on top of the beef mixture to melt.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls lightly.
  6. Once melted, spoon the beef and cheese mixture into the toasted rolls.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use lean ground beef to reduce excess grease. Experiment with different cheeses or add spices to personalize your cheesesteaks.
