Hawaiian Roll French Toast

An indulgent twist on classic French toast, made with soft Hawaiian rolls for a delightful breakfast treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 pack (12 rolls) King’s Hawaiian rolls
  • 4 tbsp Butter
  • 3/4 cup Half and half
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • Powdered sugar (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, half and half, and salt until well combined.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and dip each piece into the egg mixture, ensuring they soak briefly.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt some butter until sizzling.
  4. Place the soaked rolls on the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm, dusted with powdered sugar, and enjoy!

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute half and half with almond milk. Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom for extra flavor.
