Healthy Crispy Chicken Thighs

Delicious, crispy chicken thighs coated with whole wheat breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese, offering a healthier alternative to fried chicken without compromising on flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chicken thighs
  • 1 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel.
  4. Lightly spray or brush the thighs with cooking spray or olive oil.
  5. Dredge each thigh in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing firmly.
  6. Place the coated chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Allow to rest for a few moments before serving.
