High-Protein Beef Chili

A hearty and flavorful beef chili packed with protein and rich spices, perfect for chilly evenings or game day.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, stirring until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, draining excess fat.
  3. Mix in the chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, coating the meat thoroughly.
  4. Stir in the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth, mixing everything well.
  5. Bring the chili to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Adjust the seasoning to your liking and serve hot.

Notes

Serve topped with shredded cheese, sour cream, and fresh cilantro. Pairs well with cornbread or tortilla chips.
