High-Protein Honey Garlic Shrimp

A delightful shrimp dish coated in a sticky, sweet honey garlic sauce, perfect for quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice or vegetables for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper until well combined—this will be your sauce.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp to the pan, ensuring they’re spread out evenly.
  3. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked shrimp and allow it to simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
  5. Serve your flavorful honey garlic shrimp over steamed rice or alongside your favorite sautéed vegetables.

Notes

Marinate the shrimp for 30 minutes before cooking for more intense flavor. Adjust sweetness to taste using less or more honey.
