High Protein Mushroom Swiss Egg Bake

A wholesome and protein-packed dish combining earthy mushrooms with creamy Swiss cheese, perfect for brunch or a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup spinach (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil or cooking spray for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.
  3. Stir in the Swiss cheese, mushrooms, optional spinach, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until the eggs are fully set and golden on top.
  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, sauté mushrooms before adding them to the mixture. You can also customize with different vegetables or cheeses.
