  • 1/2 cup dried fruit (cranberries, raisins, or apricots)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup seeds (pumpkin or sunflower seeds)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the rolled oats, chopped nuts, dried fruit, seeds, and optional chocolate chips in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Mix the honey (or maple syrup) with the almond butter (or peanut butter) in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt after removing from the heat.
  5. Pour the wet mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
  6. Spread the mixture evenly in the baking pan and press down firmly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

Notes

For extra chewiness, add more almond butter or honey. Ensure mixture is tightly packed in the pan to hold together.
