Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

A simple and pantry-friendly dry mix for making delicious hot chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups instant dry milk
  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Sift the powdered sugar into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Sift in the instant dry milk and cocoa powder over the powdered sugar and whisk to combine.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and whisk until well mixed.
  4. Transfer the hot chocolate mix into airtight jars for storage.
  5. To serve, add ⅓ cup of the mix to a heat-safe mug and stir in 1 cup of warm milk.

Notes

Store the mix in airtight jars at room temperature for up to 3 months. For a dairy-free version, use instant non-dairy milk powder.
