Teriyaki Chicken Bowl

A quick and delicious teriyaki chicken bowl featuring tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and a savory-sweet teriyaki sauce served over rice.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and completely cooked through.
  3. Add broccoli, carrot, and bell pepper, stir-fry for about 5 minutes until veggies are tender yet crisp.
  4. Pour teriyaki sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring until well-coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Serve the teriyaki chicken and sautéed veggies over warm cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before enjoying.

Notes

Slice chicken into even pieces for uniform cooking; adjust teriyaki sauce to taste. Pre-cooked rotisserie chicken can be used for quicker preparation.
