Italian Grinder Salad Sandwich

A delightful twist on the classic sub sandwich, combining savory meats, crunchy veggies, and zesty flavors for a refreshing meal.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb Pepperoni
  • 1/4 lb Salami
  • 1/4 lb Turkey
  • 1/3 cup Banana peppers
  • 1/2 head Iceberg lettuce
  • 1/2 Red onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 Sub rolls
  • 1/4 lb Provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Sliced the pepperoni, salami, and turkey into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Chop the iceberg lettuce, red onion, and tomato thoroughly.
  3. Combine the sliced meats, banana peppers, lettuce, onion, and tomato in a large mixing bowl. Toss to mix well.
  4. Add the mayonnaise to the salad mixture and stir until all ingredients are well-coated.
  5. Slice open the sub rolls and layer the provolone cheese on the bottom.
  6. Fill each sub roll generously with the meat and salad mixture.
  7. Close the rolls. Serve immediately, or wrap them up for later enjoyment.

Notes

Store leftover sandwiches wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil for up to two days. Keep the dressing separate until you’re ready to eat.
