Korean Ground Beef Bowl

A quick and easy Korean-inspired bowl featuring savory ground beef, garlic, and a touch of sweetness, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until it’s nicely browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, brown sugar, and optional red pepper flakes. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over a generous mound of cooked rice, garnishing with sliced green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Adjust the sweetness to taste.
