Korean Ground Beef Bowl

A quick and delicious Korean ground beef bowl that brings comforting flavors together with rice, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  2. If there’s any excess fat, drain it off.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes until hot and combined.
  5. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice and top with sliced green onions.

Notes

Storage tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For long-term storage, freeze in portioned containers for up to three months.
