A fun and festive cheese ball appetizer that’s perfect for holiday gatherings, bringing smiles and deliciousness to any table.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing mix
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or pecans)
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Pretzel sticks (for antlers)
  • Olives or berries (for eyes)
  • Red cherry or grape (for nose)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, chopped walnuts (or pecans), and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into a ball to form the reindeer’s body.
  3. Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes.
  4. Once set, use pretzel sticks to create antlers, and attach olives or berries for the eyes, and a cherry for the nose.
  5. Serve alongside crackers or fresh vegetable sticks for a delightful snack!

Notes

For alternatives, swap walnuts for pecans or use flavored cream cheese. Don’t freeze the decorated cheese ball; freeze the bare cheese ball instead.
