Smoked Salmon Carbonara

A delicious fusion of traditional carbonara with the rich, smoky flavor of salmon, this quick dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or fancy brunches.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 150g smoked salmon, chopped
  • 100ml double cream
  • 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the spaghetti according to the package instructions until it’s al dente. Once done, drain it and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and double cream until fully combined. Add in the grated Parmesan, minced garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, combine the cooked spaghetti with the egg mixture over low heat. Stir quickly to create a creamy sauce that clings to the pasta.
  4. Gently fold in the chopped smoked salmon, allowing it to warm through without cooking.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

For a creative twist, add lemon juice or zest, swap smoked salmon for other fish, or include sautéed greens.
