Sweet Christmas Cranberry Jam

A festive and flavorful homemade cranberry jam that perfectly captures the essence of the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 orange (zested and juiced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, water, orange juice, zest, cinnamon, and allspice.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly, still in the pan.
  5. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and allow it to cool completely before sealing.
  6. Store in the refrigerator or share as a homemade gift with friends and family.

Notes

For a smoother jam, blend it once it cools slightly. Feel free to get experimental with flavors like vanilla or ginger.
