Tenderized Chicken Breast with Parmesan Topping

A simple yet effective method for juicy, evenly cooked chicken breasts topped with a creamy Parmesan layer.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless (about 1 to 1½ pounds total)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Whisk together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the chicken dry and pound each breast to about 1/2-inch thickness.
  4. Rub the spice mix evenly over both sides of each breast.
  5. Mix mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt) with grated Parmesan until smooth.
  6. Coat the top of each breast with the mayonnaise-Parmesan mixture.
  7. Arrange breasts in a baking dish, making sure they’re spaced out.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let rest for 3–5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise. Use freshly grated Parmesan for optimum flavor and texture.
