Homemade Hummus

A quick and delicious recipe for creamy homemade hummus made with chickpeas, tahini, and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Chickpeas
  • 2 medium Garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Tahini
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cumin
  • 1/3 cup Ice water

Instructions

  1. Begin by draining and rinsing the chickpeas.
  2. Combine the chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, tahini, kosher salt, and cumin in a food processor.
  3. Blend until smooth, taking your time for a creamy texture.
  4. Add ice water gradually while blending to adjust the consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Serve with olive oil drizzled on top and pita bread.

Notes

For a smoother texture, consider peeling the chickpeas before blending. Experiment with flavors by adding roasted red peppers or herbs.
