Delightful, air-filled, and vibrant green meringue cookies shaped like miniature Christmas trees, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Green food coloring
  • Sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while whisking until stiff peaks form and the mixture is glossy.
  4. Gently fold in vanilla extract and a few drops of green food coloring.
  5. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe tree shapes onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until dry and easily lifted from parchment.
  7. Let cookies cool completely before decorating with sprinkles.

Notes

For added stability, let egg whites reach room temperature before whipping. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
