Cinnamon Roll – Nutella

Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls filled with rich Nutella for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the milk mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until the dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) as the dough rises.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread Nutella over it, and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  6. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into slices. Place the slices in a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with extra Nutella before serving.
